Congratulations on making it through another summer, and welcome to a little cooler weather.
Our first big news is that Tiffani Miller will be starting nursing school in January. Thanks to her dedication to Skin Care At Civano, she will still be working with us, but her schedules will change from time to time to accommodate classes. She will also have slightly reduced work hours so be sure to book early! We wish Tiffani the best of luck in this venture.

Now, I would like a show of hands, how many of you are using an eye cream? Hmm, that’s not everyone so we had better go over the basics as to why this is a vital weapon in your anti-aging arsenal.
The skin around the eyes is the thinnest of anywhere on the body, therefore is much more susceptible to fine lines and wrinkles. There are also fewer oil glands, which results in dryness, hence the need for moisturizing eye cream. However it is vital to use only toxin free products, as the chemicals in “standard” brands will leach into the soft tissue and only exacerbate the problem.
When applying eye cream it is important to remember that you are dealing with very thin sensitive skin. Place a small amount of cream on your ring finger, and tap the ring finger of your other hand to it, in order to have an equal amount on each fingertip. The reason for using these fingers is that we have less strength in them, so it ensures that we will use less pressure. Very gently tap around the occipital bone, do not rub or pull. The Éminence eye products are all so thick and rich, that you need only the tiniest amount.
